What you should know
Your profile is private. There’s no network so no one can search or see you. The best news? You get to send it to whom you like when you like. Finally! So show the true you! No more boring resumes or LinkedIn profiles.
And because we’re focused on our members first, we’re building what’s best for you. So you won’t find employers or job postings on Trumee yet. Our #1 goal is to get you noticed!
Then how does this work?
- Employers really do want to get to know you and now you can stand out. Each section’s prompts will spark ideas so just go for it! Don’t think about being perfect. Think about being authentic. Come to life with a storytelling profile!
- Fill out the modules and use videos, reels, and images to show more of you and tell what’s unique about you.
- Video recordings are 60 seconds or less.
- Recording your videos in different settings makes a profile more interesting. Remember, you want to catch a hiring manager’s attention.
- Record a pitch video for a specific job or company. You’re so awesome–so tell them why! More good news? You can record multiple pitches if you’re applying to multiple jobs or companies.
My profile is done. That wasn’t so bad! Now what?
- Tap the arrow in the blue circle left of your profile photo
- Copy the link and paste in your resume, cover letter, application, and LinkedIn profile.
- It’s a good idea to edit the URL text to use your real name + Trumee profile so that it’s not just a long text URL. Something like “Jane Doe Trumee Profile.”
- You can forward the URL in an email to a recruiter or hiring manager if you have their address, or you can send your profile directly in a text message too.
- If you’re in the pitch section, you can tap “Share this Pitch” and your pitch video will get sent along with your full profile. How cool is that?
And that’s it. It takes a bit more effort than a boring resume or LinkedIn profile, but it’s worth it to stand out from everyone else. You’re bold. Change the game and give it a try. You got this!
